Passmores welcomes New VET Student Loans to replace VET FEE HELP

apple-256261_960_720

It was announced late last week that the Turnbull government will be overhauling the student loans program within the vocational education and training industry. These changes will come into effect 1 January 2017.

Our CEO and founder, Mr Duncan Passmore, has been committed to campaigning for these changes after witnessing the antics of unscrupulous RTO’s.

Mr Passmore was very pleased to learn that the federal government is implementing changes that coincide with those he made in his submission to the Minister for Education and Training, Simon Birmingham last year.

Mr Passmores proposal provided the department with valuable ideas regarding outsourcing control and the ‘no completion no payment’ method.

Senator Birmingham claims that the changes “will provide value for money to both students and taxpayers via tougher barriers to entry for providers, properly considered loan caps on courses, stronger http://pharmacy-no-rx.net/kamagra_oral_jelly_brand.html course eligibility criteria that aligns with industry needs, mandatory student engagement measures, a prohibition of the use of brokers to recruit students and a stronger focus on students successfully completing courses,”.

Here at Passmores we are excited about the changes. We have a long term commitment to providing quality education and producing graduates that are ‘Absolutely Employable’, fondly referred to as Mrs Pamela Passmores “A E factor”. Our students gain the skills and knowledge they require to be successful in the workforce after they graduate. We are proud to achieve this while maintaining our high standards of quality and compliance. We believe the new laws will support RTO’s such as Passmores in remaining viable and continuing to provide exemplary education services.
